IoT Metering Analytics

At Strategic Systems International I led development of an IoT-based metering solution using NFC and M-Bus technology, managing 2–3 team members.

Highlights

• A desktop application that interfaces with NFC devices to read and analyse meter data, with custom controls built for scalability and performance.
• Integrated third-party services and APIs into flexible, scalable microservice architectures.
• Applied TDD and BDD to raise code quality and reliability.
• Cut the bug count of the legacy product by 95% using SonarQube, and added a logging framework that made bugs easier to catch and shortened debugging time.
• Contributed to a 12% increase in company sales.
